Terms and Conditions

With a wide selection of well-maintained equipment, we make it easy to rent what you need, when you need it. To ensure a great experience, please keep a few things in mind when renting equipment:

 

RENTAL PAYMENT TERMS

All rental charges must be paid for in advance of your rental period. A deposit will be required in addition to the rental charges for certain pieces of equipment.

 

RESERVATIONS

Yes, you may request an equipment reservation by clicking here or you may give us a call at any time. Full payment is required at the time of the reservation. If you need to cancel your reservation, simply give us a call 48 hours in advance of your scheduled pick-up time for a full refund.

 

RENTAL PERIOD

Rental Charges are based on the time out, not the time used. The time charged will be from the time the equipment leaves to the time the equipment is returned.  This includes: Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays.

  • 4 Hour Rate – 4 consecutive hours during the business day (Maximum of 4 Hours accumulated on the meter)
  • Overnight Rate – Equipment rented Monday through Thursday after 3:00 PM and returned the following day by 9:00 AM will qualify for the Overnight Rate  (Maximum of 4 Hours accumulated on the meter)
  • 1 Day Rate / 24 Hour Rate  (Maximum of 8 Hours accumulated on the meter)
  • 1 Week Rate  (Maximum of 40 Hours accumulated on the meter)
  • 4 Week Rate  (Maximum of 160 Hours accumulated on the meter)
  • Weekend Rate: Equipment picked-up after 3:00 PM on Friday and returned by 9:00 AM Monday will only be a 1-day rental charge. Maximum of 8 Hours accumulated on the meter to qualify for the Weekend Rate.

Overtime charges will be assessed if the equipment is used over the allotted hours. If you are using equipment double or triple shifts per day, please let us know.

 

FUELING CHARGE

All of our equipment will be full of fuel prior to your rental period. For your convenience, Black Hawk Rental can refuel the equipment on-site for an additional charge; please call for our current fuel rates. If you choose to refuel the equipment, please carefully read the fuel type prior to refilling. If you are unsure of the type of fuel needed, please give us a call.

 

EQUIPMENT CLEANING

Equipment will be rented to you clean and free of dirt and debris. It is expected that the equipment is returned in the same condition that you received it. Equipment that is returned dirty and/or full of debris, is subject to a Cleaning Fee at an hourly rate of $100.00.

 

EQUIPMENT DAMAGE

Regardless of cause or fault, Customer is absolutely responsible and liable to Black Hawk for all damage/loss to Equipment (including but not limited to: loss or damage due to ordinary/proper/normal use, maintenance or lack thereof, theft, mysterious disappearance, abuse, misuse, neglect, or intentional acts) while deemed to be in Customer’s possession, even if the Equipment has been “called-off,” unless more than five (5) business days have passed since the “call-off.” If Equipment is not delivered to Customer, then Customer is deemed to be in possession of Equipment once Equipment is removed from Black Hawk’s property. If Equipment is delivered to Customer, Customer is deemed to be in possession from the time of delivery of the Equipment to the job-site until the Equipment is picked-up by Black Hawk at the job-site or when Customer returns Equipment to Black Hawk’s property. This Section, and other Sections imposing responsibility or liability onto Customer, shall be interpreted to impose responsibility or liability onto Customer for any damage/loss to Equipment, regardless of cause, fault, or the manner of use of Equipment, while Customer is deemed to be in the possession of Equipment. Customer shall be liable for repair or replacement under this Section irrespective of whether Customer purchased the Limited Damage Waiver.

 

EQUIPMENT RETURN

Equipment must be returned during normal business hours to the location that it was picked-up from.  Due to a variety of reasons, we do not offer an after-hours drop off location. The customer is responsible for the equipment until it has been checked back in by Black Hawk Rental staff. If you elected to have the equipment delivered and picked-up by Black Hawk Rental, it is your responsibility to notify Black Hawk Rental when the equipment is ready to be picked-up. When you call for pick-up, a call-off number will be provided to you at the time of the call confirming the pick-up.
